A clear process. No guessing.

JDM IMPORT Process

A transparent, step-by-step JDM import process

How the JDM import process works

✓ Full support from start to finish

Step 1. Consultation & Budget Check

After we receive your form, we start with a short conversation. We discuss the type of car you're looking for and confirm your total on-the-road budget in Ireland. You'll receive an upfront estimate covering the vehicle, VRT, customs, and logistics, so you know the realistic total cost before we begin.

Step 2. Security Deposit

To start the process, you place a refundable security deposit. This confirms your commitment and allows us to begin working on your behalf. With the deposit in place, we can start verifying vehicles and preparing for purchase. If you decide not to proceed before a vehicle is secured, the deposit is refundable in line with the Terms of Service. Learn more »

Step 3. Sourcing, Verification & Purchase

Once the deposit is received, we begin searching for suitable vehicles based on your requirements and agreed budget. Every option is carefully checked and verified before any decision is made. When you approve a specific vehicle, we secure the purchase on your behalf. After the purchase is confirmed, you have 3 working days to transfer the remaining balance for the vehicle and shipping. We then handle the full export and shipping process from Japan.

Step 4. Arrival, Registration & Handover

When the vehicle arrives in Ireland, we take care of everything:

  • customs clearance

  • transport from the port

  • VRT preparation and registration

  • final delivery or collection

You simply receive your car fully registered and ready for the road.

Cost Transparency
Before any purchase, you receive a complete cost breakdown for the selected vehicle, and we proceed only after your approval. All prices reflect real third-party costs and current market conditions, with no hidden fees. If the vehicle is purchased at auction, final costs may vary slightly due to auction charges, typically within a very small predefined margin.
